The value of acetylation reader YEATS2 in hepatocellular carcinoma management – New Study
The value of acetylation reader YEATS2 in hepatocellular carcinoma management
Summary
YEATS2, a protein that “reads” acetylated lysine on histones, plays a significant role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development. Studies indicate it promotes HCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, likely through transcriptional regulation of genes involved in these processes. YEATS2 expression is often elevated in HCC tissues and associated with poor patient prognosis. This suggests that YEATS2 is a potential therapeutic target. Targeting YEATS2 with inhibitors or other strategies could offer a novel approach to managing HCC and improving patient outcomes. Further research is needed to fully elucidate its mechanisms and develop effective YEATS2-targeting therapies.
