Announcement on postdoctoral recruitment for Wu Qin’s research group at the Hangzhou Institute of Medical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Wu Qin, researcher at the Hangzhou Institute of Medical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor, project leader, and deputy director of the Center for Nucleic Acid Molecular Medicine Research. National Excellent Young Scientist (Overseas), Zhejiang Province Outstanding Youth Fund Winner, Zhejiang Province Overseas High-level Talent (Innovation Long-term). The project group is committed to using multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary methods such as chemical biology, cell biology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics to draw single-cell spatiotemporal molecular maps of tumors, identify new targets for tumor treatment, analyze the molecular mechanisms of tumor occurrence and development, predict biomarkers for drug effects, develop new strategies for tumor treatment, and achieve personalized precision treatment. In the past two years, the project group has published many papers and obtained multiple patents in journals such as Nature Chemical Biology, Nature communications, Cell Chemical Biology, and Advanced Science as the corresponding author, and has presided over many national, provincial and ministerial projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology’s key research and development, and the Zhejiang Province’s key research and development, with sufficient research funds.

Research direction/intended work:
1. Single-cell omics cutting-edge technology and multi-omics data analysis
2. Molecular mechanism of tumor evolution and cutting-edge research on cell therapy
3. Discovery of new targets for tumor therapy and personalized precision medicine

Recruitment majors: bioinformatics, immunology, structural biology, cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacy, biomedicine and other related majors, with priority given to those with experience in omics data analysis.

Recruitment requirements
1. Abide by laws and regulations, be excellent in both character and learning, and be physically and mentally healthy.
2. Age is generally not more than 35 years old, fresh doctoral graduates or have obtained a doctoral degree for no more than 3 years.
3. Have a good academic background and research foundation, rich development potential and teamwork spirit.
4. The major must meet the requirements of the research team and be able to engage in postdoctoral research full-time.

Postdoctoral remuneration
1. Annual salary of 300,000 yuan (before tax), enjoy scientific research awards; those selected for the national “Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program” or “Postdoctoral International Exchange Program Introduction Project” will have their annual salary increased to 400,000 yuan (before tax) during the national funding period.
2. Enjoy the same benefits as regular employees in the institute, including canteen meal allowance (6,600 yuan/year), trade union material benefits, and VIP physical examination packages in tertiary hospitals.
3. Pay five insurances and one housing fund in accordance with relevant national regulations.
Those who have outstanding achievements during their postdoctoral period will be given priority to stay in the institute for development under the same conditions, and will be treated according to the talent introduction policy; in addition, the Institute of Medicine has established a strategic talent cooperation relationship with Hangzhou Medical College, and postdoctoral fellows can be given priority to be arranged for career-based teaching positions after leaving the station.
