      Two fully funded PhD candidates to join ViCOROB’s Medical Imaging Lab on deep learning for brain image analysis

      We’re hiring two fully funded PhD candidates to join ViCOROB’s Medical Imaging Lab and contribute to two new Ramón y Cajal projects focused on deep learning for brain image analysis.

      The goal? To push the boundaries of medical AI through: – Fetal and adult brain atlas construction – Longitudinal and normative modeling – Vascular abnormality detection –

      Explainable AI and progression tracking We’re looking for candidates with: • A Master’s degree in CS, biomedical engineering, data science, or similar • Strong deep learning experience for 2D/3D medical imaging • Solid Python and PyTorch skills • Familiarity with registration, segmentation, and atlas-based techniques • Excellent communication in English Location: Girona (Spain) Expected Start: September 2026
