      The State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering (SKL-US) at Chongqing Medical University, established in 2020, is a national flagship research base. We are dedicated to pioneering research in focused ultrasound therapy, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in acoustic physics, ultrasound biology, multimodal imaging, intelligent treatment, and clinical big data. Our mission is to develop original theories, key technologies, and next-generation medical devices to advance minimally invasive/non-invasive medicine.

      We have made landmark achievements, including proposing foundational concepts (e.g., Biological Focal Region), inventing the world’s first extracorporeal focused ultrasound ablation system (“HIFU”), and performing the world’s first treatments for 12 diseases. Our devices have treated over 360 thousand patients globally.

      We boast a 600+ member interdisciplinary team, including numerous national-level talents, and operate 6 state-of-the-art research platforms covering high-energy acoustics, bioeffects, imaging, transducer fabrication, and data science.

      We are now inviting applications for positions at all levels:

      Distinguished Scientists: World-renowned scholars with transformative achievements.

      Leading Scientists: Established scholars (equivalent to Associate/Full Professor) with outstanding research records.

      Young Outstanding Scholars: Promising early-career researchers (equivalent to Assistant Professor or outstanding postdocs).

      Postdoctoral Researchers: Excellent recent Ph.D. graduates.

      Research Areas Include: Strong Acoustics & Acoustic Effects, Multimodal Imaging Monitoring & Intelligent Precision Therapy, Clinical Research & Big Data in Ultrasound Therapy.

      Required Disciplines: Physics, Electronics, Instrumentation, Materials, EE, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanics, Control, Chemistry, Basic/Clinical Medicine, and related fields.
