      Tenure-track Principal Investigator (PI) – Artificial Intelligence for Drug Discovery job with Thomas Baumert – (Jobs)


      The Institute for Translational Medicine and Liver Disease (ITM) Inserm U1110, University of Strasbourg France, directed by Prof. Thomas F. Baumert, is seeking an outstanding Principal Investigator at the Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) level to build a research program that advances AI-driven translational research in fibrosis and cancer. The successful candidate will establish an innovative research program leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computational approaches to accelerate mechanistic understanding, target identification, and therapeutic development, as part of the ENACT program (https://cluster-ia-enact.ai/).

      What we are looking for:

      • A bioinformatician, cancer biologist, pharmacist or medical doctor with PhD or MD-PhD with solid knowledge and track record in applying AI-based analytical methods
      • Ability to lead an independent AI-driven research program focused on advancing translational medical research and therapeutic innovation in fibrosis, cancer, and related diseases
      • Motivation to collaborate closely with existing wet-lab and bioinformatics teams, contributing to the institute’s mission
      • Strong communicator with command of English, both spoken and written.

       

      The successful candidate will benefit from:

      • Access to cutting-edge technologies including next generation single-cell RNASeq, spatial transcriptomics platform and patient-derived models
