Hainan University is a key university of the national “211 Project”, a “Ministry-Provincial Joint Construction University” of the Ministry of Education and the Hainan Provincial Government, and a national “World-Class Discipline Construction University”. The Blue Carbon and Coastal Wetland Research Innovation (Cultivation) Team of Hainan University is affiliated to the School of Marine Science and Engineering. It undertakes the Hainan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Blue Carbon and Coastal Wetland Protection and Restoration, the Hainan Provincial International Joint Research Center for Blue Carbon and Coastal Wetland Protection, and the Hainan University-Hainan International Carbon Emissions Trading Center Blue Carbon Accounting and Trading Technology Joint Laboratory and other platforms. It is also applying for multiple international and provincial and ministerial innovation platforms. The team focuses on the investigation, monitoring, protection and restoration of coastal ecosystems such as mangroves, seagrass beds, and reefs, and carries out climate change mitigation and adaptation technologies for blue carbon, and research and development of blue carbon accounting and trading technologies, providing scientific and technological support for national and local blue carbon decision-making and compliance. The main research directions include: blue carbon policy and compliance technology research, blue carbon ecosystem remote sensing, blue carbon ecosystem conservation biology and ecological restoration technology, animal population remote sensing and Antarctic terrestrial ecology. The team has instruments and equipment with a total value of more than 15 million yuan, and has built an unmanned ship survey system (including ADCP, multi-parameter water quality analyzer, cruise nutrient analyzer, single beam, lidar), UAV survey system (including hyperspectral, multi-spectral, thermal infrared, lidar and ground feature spectrometer and other ground verification systems), eDNA, water and sediment field survey systems and vehicles, greenhouse gas observation systems, molecular biology platforms, analysis and testing platforms, cloud computing and machine learning platforms, and animal and plant cultivation and behavioral research platforms. The team has undertaken a number of national, provincial, ministerial and local vertical and horizontal research projects, and has established a stable international cooperation network with the United Nations system and many countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.

II. Recruitment requirements
1. Possess a doctoral degree and obtain a doctoral degree, or can obtain a doctoral degree before joining the company;
2. Have a strong interest in scientific research, have a spirit of teamwork, and have independent scientific research capabilities;
3. To apply for a postdoctoral position, you must meet the following requirements at the same time:
1) The time of obtaining the degree is generally no more than 3 years;
2) The age is generally not more than 35 years old. If one of the following conditions is met, it can be relaxed to 38 years old (natural science field) or 40 years old (humanities and social sciences, medicine):
① During the doctoral period, you have won the school’s first-class scholarship, the president’s scholarship or a scholarship of the same level;
② Currently presiding over or as a main member of a provincial, ministerial or above project or fund;
③ Received scientific research achievement awards at the provincial, ministerial or above level;
④ Foreigners or overseas students who have obtained a doctoral degree from a world-renowned university;
⑤ Have research capabilities urgently needed for major scientific research projects undertaken by co-supervisors.

(I) In-service teachers

(II) Full-time postdocs
1. Annual salary standard: 300,000+ before tax/year, including a basic salary of 80,000 yuan/year (supported for 2 years, the specific standard shall be subject to the latest policy of the country or Hainan Province), a living allowance of 150,000 yuan/year (supported for 2 years), and performance allowances shall be issued by the cooperating tutor according to the actual situation after annual assessment;
2. Housing subsidy: Full-time postdocs can apply for housing subsidy from the school or Hainan Province in accordance with regulations (currently 3,000 yuan/month, subject to the latest policy of Hainan Province);
3. Funding: Hainan Province provides scientific research funding for postdocs, including research project funding (150,000 yuan/year, selected once a year, and the number of projects selected each time shall not exceed 2/3 of the number of participating projects) and general funding (100,000 yuan, issued in the form of bonuses, subject to application for review), subject to the latest policy of Hainan Province;
4. Full-time postdocs enjoy the same proportion of social insurance and provident fund as in-service personnel of Hainan University;
5. During the period of full-time postdocs’ stay, matters related to the admission of their children to kindergarten and school shall be handled in accordance with the same treatment as in-service teachers of our school;
6. The scientific research achievements obtained by the postdoctoral fellows during their stay can be applied for rewards according to the school’s teaching and scientific research achievement reward method;
7. Full-time postdoctoral fellows can apply for professional and technical qualification evaluation organized by the school during their stay. The school will recognize the intermediate professional title qualifications for full-time postdoctoral fellows who have not obtained intermediate or above professional titles before entering the station. If the postdoctoral fellows themselves give up the qualification for intermediate professional title recognition, they must submit a written application;
8. Full-time postdoctoral fellows with excellent assessments can be given priority to stay in school to teach.
