Professor Liu Zheng’s research group at the Southern University of Science and Technology’s Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center is recruiting postdoctoral fellows/research assistants  .

Liu Zheng is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Southern University of Science and Technology’s Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center. He is a member of the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Branch of the Chinese Biophysical Society, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Electron Microscopy Professional Committee, an executive director of the Chinese Electron Microscopy Society and vice chairman of the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Professional Committee, and a member of the Basic Research Group of the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.

[Research direction of the research group]

This research group mainly uses a variety of technical means such as cryo-electron microscopy, biochemistry, and cell biology to focus on the following research areas: 1. Three-dimensional cryo-electron tomography and three-dimensional reconstruction of in situ structures of tissues and cells; 2. Three-dimensional structural analysis of proteins, biomacromolecule complexes, and viruses; 3. Structural biological pathogenic mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases. He has published relevant research results in important academic journals at home and abroad, including more than 50 articles included in SCI. According to the needs of the project, we are now recruiting 2 postdoctoral fellows and 2 research assistants to participate in the research work of the research group.

[Job requirements]

1. Have a research background in biology or medicine, master relevant technologies such as biochemistry and molecular biology, and have a background in protein expression, purification and cryo-electron microscopy research.
2. Obtain a bachelor’s/master’s/doctoral degree in a related discipline;
3. Have a strong interest in scientific research, good communication skills, and be good at teamwork.

[Salary and benefits]

Basic salary is negotiable based on academic qualifications and experience. Five insurances and one housing fund, various benefits, subsidies, etc. are paid and issued according to school standards.
