Li Kangkang, assistant professor of the School of Engineering at Peking University, distinguished researcher, has been engaged in theoretical basic research, process innovation and engineering application of CO2 capture and resource utilization for a long time. The research work takes the thermal/kinetics of chemical absorbent system as the starting point, model construction and process optimization as the link, and technology amplification and engineering application as the orientation to carry out the research and development of low-energy consumption and low-cost CO2 capture and utilization technology. The relevant technology has entered the engineering application stage from the laboratory. Due to
the development needs of the research group, Ph.D.s in chemistry, chemical engineering, energy, civil engineering and mechanics are urgently needed to work together to tackle the core technology of carbon capture and utilization and jointly promote the commercial application of technology. Research topics include, but are not limited to:
• “Ultra-low energy consumption” CO2 capture technology based on in-situ recycling of CO2 reaction heat
• New integrated hot and cold carbon capture technology
• Chemical direct air CO2 capture “negative emission” technology (DAC)
• Waste lithium battery metal recovery technology based on CO2 recycling;
• Electric-driven electrochemical CO2 capture technology
• CO2 capture-heat storage integrated technology based on organic amine system
