Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom invites online Application for various Postdoctoral Fellowship in their different Departments. We are providing a list of Postdoc Fellowship positions available at Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom.

Eligible candidate may Apply as soon as possible.

      (01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoctoral Research Associate

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Associate to join our research team in the Centre of Sustainable Engineering in the School of Engineering and Material Science. The research is concerned with understanding structure-property-performance relationships of organic and hybrid semiconductor heterojunctions and using that understanding to develop better performing devices for sustainable solar energy conversion (e.g. solar cells or photo(electrochemical) devices). The post is based in the group of Dr Flurin Eisner as part of an EPSRC funded grant and will make use of the brand-new fabrication facilities in the School’s Green Energy Hub and state-of-the-art characterisation equipment in our labs. The research associate will be responsible for designing and carrying out experimental measurements of the materials and devices, writing up results for publication, and helping with the organisation of research.

      Deadline : 28/11/2025

      (02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Computational Senior Research Fellow

We are looking for a Senior Computational Biologist to join the ERC-Synergy funded MUTAHOME project, a multi-institutional collaboration between Queen Mary University of London and the Francis Crick Institute. This initiative brings together world-class experts in evolutionary genomics, stem cell biology, and computational science to unravel one of the most fascinating puzzles in modern biology.

Recent discoveries have revealed that healthy tissues become mosaics of clonally expanded cells carrying somatic mutations, often hitting cancer-related genes. These mutant clones are pervasive and persistent throughout life, yet only rarely progress to disease. MUTAHOME aims to uncover how these mutations impact cell fitness, influence tissue homeostasis, and shape cancer risk.

      Deadline : 22/11/2025

      (03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doctoral Research Associate

We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to conduct a 2-year study to validate the efficacy of a novel biologic which reduces pain and results in cartilage regeneration in osteoarthritis. The post-holder will conduct the research as part of a team and under the supervision of Professor Francesco Dell’Accio and Dr Suzanne Eldridge. The work involves in vitro assays of chondrogenesis with cell lines and human primary cells, cell culture, transfections, immunostainings, western blotting, reporter assays, in vivo testing including models of osteoarthritis in mice. Professor Dell’Accio will perform the surgery for inducing osteoarthritis in mice and the post-holder will attend to the animal welfare and husbandry, assess pain, process the samples and perform the analysis including OARSI scoring, histomorphometry, histochemistry and immunostainings, including quantification and analysis. The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of the project, including writing the manuscript(s) and reports and will work as part of a team.

      (04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

We are in search of exceptional, self-driven postdoctoral research associates (PDRAs) to join a dedicated team in developing and testing a groundbreaking device for medical imaging and early cancer detection. The research remit will encompass: medical imaging, AI, device design, prototyping, and pre-clinical evaluation of diagnostic devices within hospital settings. A deep understanding and hands-on experience in AI, medical imaging, user-centred design, programming, and system integration within medical contexts are highly regarded. Dissemination of findings through publication is an essential aspect of these positions.

The selected candidate will collaborate as part of a cohesive unit to: 1) Design, develop, and experimentally validate sensors and AI software for medical imaging, 2) Integrate pioneering and proven tools for the early cancer detection, and 3) Examine clinical workflows and validate the established systems in tandem with clinical partners.

      (07) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. Benjamin Werner from Barts Cancer Institute in London is seeking a post doc candidate to join his team at Queen Mary University of London to work on the evolutionary dynamics of extra-chromosomal DNA in human cancers.

The position is funded for initially two years (with options of extension) by the CRUK and NCI Cancer Grand Challenge to work on the evolutionary theory and computational models of extra-chromosomal DNA in human cancers. Extra-chromosomal DNA drives some of the most difficult-to-treat cancers. Yet, little is known about the evolutionary process of ecDNA. This project will develop the mathematical/computational tool-box to describe the evolution of ecDNA and test predictions of these theories in existing and newly generated cancer genomic data.
