Two PhD Positions Available Now: Integrated Photonics Circuits & Metamaterials for High Precision Sensing Applications 🚨
I am looking to hire two highly motivated PhD students to join my research group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at UNC Charlotte.
🔍 Research Areas:
Metamaterials & Nanophotonics
Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) and Waveguide Design
Cleanroom Fabrication (lithography, deposition, etching)
Optical Testing and Quantum Applications
🛠️ Preferred Experience:
Background in metamaterials or PIC design
Experience with cleanroom fabrication
Strong foundation in optics and electromagnetic waves
📌 Applicants with a Master’s degree are preferred.
However, I strongly welcome exceptional Bachelor’s graduates with a solid technical background and a passion for photonics and electromagnetics — don’t hesitate to apply!
