Research focuses on understanding these epigenetic mechanisms to identify new therapeutic targets. Current approaches include investigating combination therapies that incorporate epigenetic drugs to sensitize CCCs to chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The goal is to overcome drug resistance and improve patient outcomes by modulating gene expression and targeting the unique vulnerabilities of CCCs.
