🎓 About the Research Field
Physiology research explores how living organisms function at the cellular and molecular level. This position focuses on synaptic function and calcium channel signaling, which are fundamental to understanding how nerve cells communicate and process information. Calcium channels act as gatekeepers that control the flow of calcium ions into cells, playing crucial roles in neurotransmitter release, neuronal plasticity, and the development of neurological disorders. This cutting-edge research combines advanced techniques like fluorescence microscopy, electrophysiology, and molecular biology to unravel the mysteries of brain function in both health and disease states.
✨ Position Overview
Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences is seeking talented researchers to join their Department of Physiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research on synaptic functions and calcium channels while contributing to medical education and advancing your academic career in a dynamic international environment.
