Responsibilities/Job Description

In this laboratory, we study optical technology that can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by measuring the light-tissue interaction. The shape and biochemical characteristics change in cellular and tissue levels in accordance with the progress of the disease, which ultimately the optical properties of the tissue ( scattering and absorption, etc. ) change agent. Therefore, if the optical properties of the tissue can be accurately measured, accurate diagnosis and efficient treatment of diseases is possible. The laboratory, in particular, that can be used in clinical hyperspectral imaging (Hyperspectral Imaging) and the spatial frequency domain images (Spatial-Frequency Domain Imaging) developed a new optical system such techniques, the analysis of the optical properties from the image measured by utilizing the artificial intelligence We study image processing techniques to diagnose the presence or absence of later diseases.
