🧪PhD Opportunity at the University of Bath – Sustainable Catalysis & Advanced Materials We’re seeking a motivated PhD candidate (UK or International) to join an exciting interdisciplinary project at the interface of catalysis, nanomaterials, and sustainable chemical technologies under the supervision of Dr Simon Freakley and Dr Hannah L. . The project focuses on designing reactive membranes that integrate catalytic activity with controlled molecular transport — opening the door to low-energy, highly selective processes for biomass upgrading and chemical recycling. As part of this project, you’ll gain hands-on experience in: nanoparticle synthesis & membrane fabrication, reaction kinetics and mechanistic analysis ✨ Interdisciplinary research bridging chemistry and chemical engineering 🎓 Ideal for candidates with a strong background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
