Junior Faculty Position in the Gunderson Personality Disorders Institute

The Gunderson Personality Disorders Institute (PDI) at McLean Hospital invites applications from qualified individuals for an early career investigator in personality disorders research at the faculty rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor level in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.  This investigator will be responsible for providing oversight of research in the Adult Borderline Personality Disorder services and will have opportunities to join ongoing projects in the Gunderson PDI as a collaborator. In addition, the investigator will also be expected to develop her/his individual federally funded program of research.  Opportunities exist for developing strong collaborations within McLean Hospital and across Harvard Medical School.  

Applicants must have a M.D. and/or Ph.D. or professional doctorate, appropriate residency or postdoctoral experience, a record of extramural funding, and publications indicative of demonstrated expertise, and be licensure eligible in Massachusetts.  Applicants must meet the academic criteria for appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. The position offers office and human laboratory space, affiliation with a large clinical research program, and research infrastructure support. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a competitive, independent, and largely externally funded research program.
